My lover and I were simply grabbing a pack of Swisher Sweets and a 24oz can of Busch’s Light. Easy, we’re both of age to buy these products and have had no other issues with places like QuikTrip and Murphy’s. One of these cashiers during a later shift denied my boyfriend because he didn’t look like his photo, even though the only thing he had changed was that he had gotten a haircut that day. She refused and refused, even though he was of age to buy it and offered his tribal ID. I had to go in and buy it for him, and even then, she denied me because of a third part issue. It was infuriating, and safe to say that we will not be going to this Maverick anytime soon.

The Tulsa i44 and Yale location is so awful almost every time I go there. What is sad is I live about a two minute drive from that location, and I have chosen to drive to the 41st and Sheridan location to get my fuel every time, because of the experience of this location Every Single time. Then I’m on my way home from work tonight, and I think well I’ll swing in and give it a shot. Go in get two items, and stand in line. Neither of the cashiers inside, even acknowledged anyone else’s existence, but both were busy dealing with the same person, not making any headway, as myself and a few other people stood there for six minutes. That was long enough for me, I figured I would just go ahead and leave, because obviously this location is still the same. As I’m walking out, I hear another guy say man I hate this location, I’m putting my beer back and just going to Quiktrip from now on. Meanwhile, they have two employees out front that are scrubbing up oil stains. Yes in the dark, it is more important for them to scrub oil stains, then to help the customers inside that are hoping to make a purchase. Where are management at and how does a store run so inefficiently? I think I would just prefer to go to Quiktrip from now on, because at least they do carry 93 octane fuel now. I think the only decent thing Maverik offers is 93 octane fuel, I definitely miss Kum & go, and myself, and the 92 other people in my car club, will be moving our business elsewhere. I am aware that they do not pay as well as QT, and that’s probably why eventually QT will wipe them all out. Done with my rant… Maverik, good luck in your future ventures. Maybe look into some customer service training, just a thought.

Chose this Maverick over the QuikTrip down the street. I asked to do two separate transactions because you can't do a split payment on gas and the store manager acted like I was stupid and couldn't understand what he was explaining, but at the end of it, it turns out HE didn't understand that I was asking for separate transactions. This just shows that Maverick buying out Kum N Go was a poor decision, I'll just stick to QuikTrip, never once had an issue with a staff member being patronizing or condescending there.

I went to the bathroom, tried on a few pairs of sunglasses and thought id rather buy a different pair that i actually like instead of spending 22$ on a pair of cheap ones. I put them all back and walked back to my car. I was sitting in the parkinglot for a few minutes and an employee came out and knocked on my window and accused me of stealing them and says he "has me on camera" which is a complete lie because i dont steal and i didnt take anything. So he straight up lied about it and i told him he was more than welcome to search my ENTIRE CAR just to prove a point and he said im not gonna do all that but iust know we got you and its my word versus yours.

Sam was awesome and offered to make me any sandwich I wanted if I didn’t see anything in the food warmer that I wanted. She was super nice and very outgoing! This place is always great, and although has happened to become an area in Tulsa where a lot of homeless people hang around, the staff has done a great job keeping the premises clear of loitering. I stop here frequently, restrooms are clean and staff is friendly and attentive.
