My experience with Gerber Collision & Glass has been one of the most frustrating and dangerous situations I’ve ever dealt with involving a vehicle repair. I first brought my 2019 Subaru Outback to the Owasso location on July 14, 2025, after a collision. They had my car for four weeks, repeatedly told me it was ready, and then kept extending the timeline. When I finally picked it up, it was still not repaired correctly. Over the next several months, I brought it back five additional times for the same issue, and each time I was told it had been fixed—yet nothing changed. All they ever did was send the car out for another alignment instead of investigating what was actually wrong. I kept explaining that the issue wasn’t fixed, but no one listened. After the fifth failed repair, Owasso admitted they couldn’t figure it out and sent me to the Gerber Collision on 51st and Mingo in Tulsa. That location promised to finally make it right. When I arrived, they told me a rental car would be ready, but when I got to the rental agency, no reservation had been made, and I waited over an hour while they tried to find one. Unfortunately, that same level of disorganization carried over to the repair itself. Despite knowing the car’s full history, they did the exact same thing the previous shop had done—another alignment, no deeper inspection, and no lasting repair. When they couldn’t figure it out either, they finally sent me to Subaru, who found the real issues within a few hours: • A loose wheel that I had been driving on for thousands of miles, • Torn sway-bar link boots, • And other damaged suspension components that Gerber had completely missed. Subaru confirmed that these were serious safety problems that could have caused an accident. That means both Gerber locations returned my car to me multiple times while it was still unsafe to drive. Between the repeated failed repairs, weeks without my vehicle, poor communication, fuel costs, and the stress of dealing with it all, this ordeal has cost me thousands of dollars and months of my time. Both Gerber shops showed a complete lack of technical knowledge, organization, and accountability. I trusted them to repair my car safely and professionally, and instead, their negligence put my life—and other people’s lives—at risk. I would strongly advise anyone considering either of these locations to think twice, demand documentation of all work performed, and have an independent mechanic verify every repair before driving your car away.
