Everyone’s got two or three cars, and apparently none of them belong to your cabin. Side parking? Only if you can magically shrink your car between lifted trucks. Better make sure your ride’s in top shape, because those hills are no joke. Hope your brakes are new — or you’ll be saying a little prayer on every incline. Step inside and meet your new roommates: the spiders. Webs in the corners, on the ceiling, even decorating the air conditioner. It’s giving Haunted Forest Chic. The bedding? Straight from the 1980s — and I’m pretty sure it’s the same set they bought back then. Got luggage? Don’t. The “steps” are just a pile of loose rocks that’ll have you rolling an ankle before you make it to the door. Accessibility? Absolutely not. Half the light switches don’t even work. It’s like playing Whac-A-Mole to find the one that does. The TV is the size of an iPad — actually, I think it is an iPad. The lake view is nice… if you can find it behind all the trees. And bonus points for the 24/7 barking dogs. Love that for my sleep schedule. Overall, this place could be great — you know, after a full renovation, pest control visit, parking plan, and a miracle.
