  1⭐ I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience at this Maverik location on March 29th around 10:19 PM. My boyfriend and I had just finished a long shift at QuikTrip and stopped in like normal customers. After using the restroom, we checked the cooler for a drink that was out of stock and then grabbed a beef jerky and headed toward self-checkout. Out of nowhere, an employee stopped us and accused me of having a drink hidden in my pocket and claimed that we “come in and steal all the time.” This was completely false. I immediately emptied my pockets to prove I had nothing. Instead of apologizing, the employee tried to brush it off. When we asked for their name, they refused and hid their name tag, which was extremely unprofessional. After my boyfriend took a photo because they wouldn’t identify themselves, the employee said they were calling 911. We chose to leave to avoid further escalation, but they followed us outside while covering their face. This situation was handled terribly from start to finish—false accusations, no proof, refusal to identify themselves, and unnecessary escalation. My boyfriend is a Black man serving in the United States Army, and the way we were treated felt completely disrespectful and unacceptable. As someone who also works in customer service, I understand mistakes happen, but this went far beyond that. I strongly suggest management review camera footage from that time and address this employee’s behavior. I will not be returning to this location.

  I find it absolutely insane that you need a verification code to even get gas at the pump when you pay inside. It’s not a dang email login but what’s done is done, bye $35 dollars.😐
