While asking questions about my brakes that were supposedly lifetime warranty she rudely told me unless I can prove they were faulty they wouldn't give me my core charge. She needs some serious retraining as a manager and how to speak to your customers! Guys don't go here for your parts please do yourself a favor and go to any advance auto parts anywhere else but this location.

- JSJackson StoneSep 3, 20231.0Do not expect intelligent customer service. I drove 45 minutes to Advanced Auto Parts to buy an AC compressor that was in stock according to them and the website. When I got there not even an hour after calling, me and the employee checked the computer, it said “in stock”. The gentleman went back and for some reason couldn’t find it, another gentleman went back there and couldn’t find it either. I was confused and asked if they might have it at another store, they couldn’t tell me. I asked them if they could get another store to ship it to them, they said they couldn’t. I quickly accepted that maybe it was lost or sold and not accounted for and told them to have a nice day. As soon as I got home they called and said they found it right where they supposed it would be. At this point any reasonable person would be livid. They wasted three hours of my birthday. I asked them if they could ship the part to a closer store and they said they couldn’t. Thank you Advanced Auto Parts on NW expressway! If I could give zero stars I would.

Typically a car battery will last 2-5 years, with premium batteries lasting 5-6 years. But you should replace it every 4 years for safe measures if you want to avoid any unwanted problems.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
