- MNMaryanne NguyenApr 18, 20261.0I had a very concerning experience at this shop and would not recommend them. I brought my 2020 Hyundai Tucson in and was told my engine was burning oil and that I needed to replace the piston rings for around $2,500. That’s a major repair, so I held off. Before going in, I had already tried changing the spark plugs myself, but I likely didn’t install them correctly. The shop ended up correcting the spark plug issue, and after that, my car ran fine. There were no signs of the major engine problem they originally diagnosed. About three weeks later, I took my car somewhere else for an oil change, and they confirmed there were no signs of oil burning. Despite this, the shop had previously charged me $50 just to “top off” my oil. Another red flag was that they tried to convince me to sell them my car, saying Hyundais are unreliable and that mine would fail if I didn’t do their recommended repair. That felt very misleading and inappropriate. They also offer a $10 discount in exchange for a 5-star review, which makes me question how trustworthy their ratings really are. Weeks later, my car is still running perfectly fine. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any major repairs here.
