They once replaced an entire battery for me, free of charge. They have also put wipers on my car which I should learn how to do. But no one there ever made me feel bad that I didn't know these things. I tried to tip the guy about the battery and he said he couldn't take it. They are just always so nice and helpful and that's why I keep going back to the same location.

The staff here is friendly and they are very helpful. They can look up your car make and model, and look up specific parts and make sure they will work with your car.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
