- EKEthan KlecklerNov 15, 20251.0I went in for a basic oil change 13nov that took significantly longer than it should have due to staff laughing and joking with one another instead of working, fast forward to the end of the service and the technician tells me a clip broke on my engine air filter but the technician assured him it was like that before I arrived. I leave the store and all the sudden my car is making a noise like it’s sucking air that it don’t do prior to me arriving, get home to see what exactly broke and it was a quick connect fitting that I now need to replace the entire engine air filter box because of. I spoke with the store manager “Taylor” I believe her name was and she informed me after “watching the tape” that she determined that it had to of been that way because she was able to see a tech talk to another one about shortly after him trying to remove the engine filter. So I asked her if they knew it was broken why wouldn’t they say something immediately instead of waiting until the very end to say something to which her response was “because that’s when they put notes in”. Absolute worst experience at a valvoline I’ve ever had will never recommend anyone to this store ever again for any reason.

I went to a different shop for an oil change this time and he said that he sees this all the time from Valvoline. He told me the oil is still clean and to run it another 2000 miles and come back. Needless to say, I won't be going to a Valvoline again.
