I purchased four new tires from this location on Black Friday 2025. Two days later, after only driving the car home from the store, I returned to find that three of the four brand new tires were completely flat. I’m disappointed that such a major issue occurred immediately after installation, and even more concerned that the store appeared to be operating with a skeleton crew on one of the busiest travel weekends of the year. This raises questions about the quality control and attention to detail during what is clearly a high demand period. When I brought the vehicle back, the staff fixed the problem, but I did not receive an apology or any acknowledgment of the inconvenience, nor was any effort made to make the situation right beyond redoing the work that should have been completed properly the first time.

In February 2024, we took our car to TD to look at the tire and they informed us that there was a hole in the tire that they were unable to patch. We had all 4 tires replaced given the wear on the other tires - the tires installed were the ones recommended by the TD employee and came with a 70k-mile warranty. After having driven roughly 20k miles, we were notified during an oil change that we were due for new tires which was surprising. I returned to TD with only 23k on the tires. The TD technician confirmed that there was already balding on the tires and recommended all 4 tires be replaced. The employee at the counter informed me that the wrong tires were installed on our car and that particular tire has a history of making it only 20k-25k miles when put on our model car. I re-iterated to the employee that the tires installed were the exact ones that were recommended and installed by TD. I asked why would Tire Discounters recommend a tire that wasn’t meant for our car, he dismissively replied “mistakes happen” without saying anything further. I then asked to have the value equivalent to the unused mileage covered under the warranty to be refunded – I did not ask for the full amount of the tires since we used them for only 23,000 miles even though this stems from an error caused by TD. Starting this process truly revealed that TD did not adequately train their representative working at the front counter and set him up to fail. First, the employee did not know how to calculate the percentage of use on the tires. Then, once we established that the use percentage was roughly 33%, he insisted that the 33% would be the pro-rated amount we would receive credit for. I had to explain multiple times that 33% is the amount used on the tires and that the unused 67% left under the warranty is what I should be credited. After staring at the computer for quite some time and not communicating anything to me, he provided me a work order which he said reflected the 67% amount. I reviewed the work order and the numbers didn’t add up so he printed another work order with a different final amount. The first order had a “discount” of $631.75 and a “total” of $349.39 and the second order had a “discount” of $525.28 and a “total" of $455.41. Still confused by what he was trying to say, I asked how he came up with the two different numbers, he said he calculated things the same way and that we could just ignore one of the work orders he handed me. It is at this moment that I realized he was trying to sell me more tires. I informed him that I did not want new tires from them and I was about to drive back home (out-of-state) as soon as I left TD, and I requested the unused 67% be credited back to the credit card I used for the original purchase. The employee said they don’t do that, repeatedly told me I don’t understand how “pro-rated” works, and told me that he was offering a sizable “discount” on the new tires. However, it was clear that it was the employee himself who did not understand what “pro-rated” meant, he could not calculate basic information, and the “discount” he said I was getting involved money that I already spent with TD. In sum, after receiving poor product and poor service from TD, the only way I could get any “refund” back is if I spent either $340 or $455 MORE on another set of new tires from them directly. This also assumes that they actually recommend a tire that is right for my car (unlike the first time) or else I could be doing this again in another 1.5 years. It was also obvious that the employee was ill-equipped to deal with the situation and I knew I was getting nowhere with him so I was forced to leave with balding tires that were the direct result of TD's ineptitude. I am also now left questioning whether the original tire issue 1.5 years ago could have been fixed instead of requiring a full replacement because my recent experience leaves me feeling that I cannot trust Tire Discounters on anything.

Took my car in for an oil change and to get my headlights replaced (Saturday). Now to be transparent, I've gone to this same location for oil changes and new tires and haven't had any issues. But anyway, some how the oil change got completed but the headlights became an issue for them to overcome within 6 hours. So I had to pick up the car and drop it back off for it to get seen by their master technician on Monday morning. Well no one took the time to align the lights, so I drove home tonight (Monday) in the dark without 5ft of light in front of me.

I want to share that our experience getting new tires was seamless and easy and I attribute this to Andrew, front desk attendant! He was magnificent and I hope that Tire Discounters knows how extremely talented and professional he is with his job. He calmly walked us thru our options, explained and answered all of my random questions and handled the continuous phone ringing, line of customers and questions from the shop with no frustration - just multitracked and calmly helped everyone! He is a treasure to your organization!!

Frequently Asked Questions About Tire Discounters

How do I know if I need an alignment?

The #1 cause of uneven or rapid tire wear is misalignment. Your vehicle also may pull to one side or feel "loose" when steering, and you might even observe a drop in fuel economy. Alignment is critical to tire life and vehicle safety. In fact, if you install new tires on a misaligned vehicle, some manufacturers won't even honor your tire warranty. Everyday driving, potholes, hard turns, and sudden stops, gradually knock your wheels out of alignment. This wear is natural, but it can quickly chew through your tires. That's why Tire Discounters includes a FREE alignment ($129.99 value) when you purchase 4 tires installed. It's just another way we help you get more life (and more value) out of your tires.

How do I get a free alignment?

At Tire Discounters, when you purchase any 4 tires with installation, you get a FREE alignment. A 4 wheel alignment is valued at $129.99, and comes with a 12 month warranty.
