- RSRandy SharpeSep 22, 20251.0I’d like to complain about the $151 charge on my credit card prior to pumping gas. I was not aware that this was a practice conducted by any business - anywhere. My credit card company flagged it and sent me a text asking if it was authorized. Of course, I said it was not authorized. They promptly closed the account and canceled my card. This will cause me to expend a lot of time and energy, changing all of my accounts that are automatically drawn on my credit card! A major, major hassle!! It sure sounded like a scam to me. I did go into the Flying J station & spoke to a cashier who stated that that was normal and customary for them to put a charge on your card. This also sounded highly suspect. I did not see any signs indicating that this would occur. Or any warning on the gas pump itself. A heads up would have solved many many issues for me.
