- CNChristopher NoelAug 15, 20251.0This is the worst auto parts store in Washington courthouse. Do not shop here. The manager Albert, needs to be trained in customer service on several levels. Not only did he order the wrong part for my vehicle and make me wait more than half the day to get it, (when the the correct part was already in stock - like I had suggested, as was reflected on their online inventory.) But when the mistake became apparent, and he could not, for some reason, figure out how to do the return, he then tried to blame me for his mistake. And when I took exception to that he tried to throw me out of "his" store without the proper part, even though I had paid for it already. Absolutely pathetic customer service. In fact, there was no customer service - it was customer disservice.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
