They kept my truck for five days I couldn’t go to work, replaced no parts, charged me $1k in labor to ruin my truck. I drove it in, and had to have it towed to another shop after they “fixed it.” I asked for a complimentary tow, when I should have asked for my money back, and the response I got from the manager was, “We don’t do that here.” For the price of a diagnostic fee, my truck was fixed at another garage. Turns out Monro Auto doesn’t know anything about securing clamps, torque specs, and plugging things in. I’d be laughing at all this if they didn’t have my thousand dollars for all the trouble they caused me.

I really hate leaving bad reviews, but feel the need to warn others - if you take your vehicle here, who knows how long they'll have it or if they'll even perform the services requested. No communication. We've been customers for years & are disappointed to have to find another garage. I had an appt for 4pm on Thurs for an oil change & have brake pads I provided put on. Nothing crazy. I also asked for clarification on the free inspection, as I knew I likely needed another appointment for rattling in the front end, which they said they'd inspect. 6:15pm on Thurs, I call & find out that there was a "roadside emergency" & my car wouldn't get looked at until morning. (Idk who needed their car more than I needed mine, or why it wasn't worth a call to let me know. Without a heads up, I was annoyed, but not angry.) First thing Fri morning I was told. Fri at 2pm, again I called to see if it's done. Thankfully, they said it was just coming out of the garage. I pick it up, no mention of an inspection. I pull out, & pull in at Wendy's. I got 2 notifications on my dash, "tire pressure low" & "engine oil low". I check my oil & it's bone dry. My husband drives back up there to ask if they did the oil change. (It said on the paperwork "services requested: oil change, brake pads.") They tell my husband when I called on Thurs night, I said to "forget the oil change". The oil change was never even mentioned in any capacity. I needed it done! So all in all, they had my car for 2 days for 1 hour of labor, we only received 1/3 of the services we asked for AND they lied instead of apologizing when questioned. Very unprofessional. I got the feeling that I was more of an annoyance than a customer who was literally asking to give them more work.

If I could give this place last than one I would. Monroe on Elm Rd is terrible .. Was in 2days earlier and made a appointment for 230 on Saturday. Was 415 and I still wasn't back in garage. Took a walkin in buddy of RJs and I loss my spot. Then when I said something the guy and RJ ganged up on me. I am female tried to take advantage of me by overcharging me for labor. The last manager ripped me off on brakes, heard this from the workers there. I though it was different under RJ but I guess not just have a loser company! Do not go there, horrible.

The overall service was handled very well. My appt went as scheduled. I can’t say enough about Donny the tech that worked in my car. He’s truly the best.
