My agent emailed them for the reservation, they gave me a Ford Escape ( I didn't choose it. They assigned it) and asked for my card for $50 deposit that is refundable when I return the car. Ok fine. I've had a rental thru Enterprise before so I was expecting the same experience. Everything was good - car was good except for the wipers that were bad and I only noticed because it rained while I was using it. When I returned the car, I told them about the wipers. I thought everything was good until I saw a $102.83 charge on my card that made me wonder. I called them, they said its for taxes. I checked my insurance and was told I shouldn't be charged with anything as I have full coverage. I looked at the receipt they sent and there was a renter's charge. So they billed my insurance and they billed me when my insurance should have covered everything and I have to pay nothing as I was expecting. I called them and they said I paid for it when I picked it up. It only got charged after I returned the car. They didn't explain anything except for the $50 refundable fee - this I am aware of. If it was because of the type of car, I didn't pick it. They should have stayed under what my insurance is covering. It feels deceitful because I didn't know about it and they didn't inform me. I don't like getting blindsided without me fully agreeing to it. It's infuriating and such a hassle.
