I brought my vehicle in for a no-start issue and specifically for a crankshaft position sensor replacement. The shop replaced the part, but did not perform proper post-repair verification, diagnosis, or system reset.
After the repair, the vehicle still only cranked and would not start. When I asked if the codes were cleared or if the PCM was reset, I was told there were “no codes,” and no meaningful diagnostic testing was done. No confirmation of spark, injector pulse, or sensor synchronization was provided.
Clearing codes and verifying system operation after replacing a critical engine sensor is basic professional practice. Without doing this, there is no way to confirm whether the repair was successful or if the issue was resolved.
Additionally, I supplied proper gaskets for the EGR and intake, yet RTV sealant was used instead of installing the correct gasket. This suggests rushed or shortcut workmanship rather than proper repair standards.
I paid for a repair expecting a professional diagnosis and verification process. Instead, I received a parts swap with no confirmation of functionality and no accountability for the continued no-start condition.
The price was later reduced, which indicates awareness that the job was not handled thoroughly. However, the vehicle was still not fixed.
If you are looking for a shop that will properly diagnose, verify repairs, and stand behind their work, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere.
Was highly satisfied, with the friendliness and explanation of the service which I needed , and the great service I received on my VW Passat!!
I heard about this company about four years ago - Only went to them three weeks ago for the first time, Have taken three of my cars there in that past three weeks. I cannot speak more highly Of the workmanship But also the integrity of this company. One of my vehicles it was believed to be a simple fix, When they broke it down and worked on the vehicle, they realized it was a much larger problem - I was not charged a single dollar for any other work they did realizing that the vehicle Would not have been worked on if I known the original diagnosis. It was one of those cases where unfortunately you had to fix other things before you found the main problem. I’ll find that to be unbelievable customer service. I will not be taking my vehicles, including my wife and daughter’s vehicles anywhere else. Highly highly recommend.

I couldn't be happier with the communication, professionalism, and work completed on my bmw. Finding a shop besides the dealership isnt easy. This is 2nd time Ive had my car here for significant work and each time things were done as said and on time. I recommend them to anyone looking to avoid the dealership runaround and price gouging.

I can't recommend Ambrosia's Automotive enough. They took the time to accurately diagnose the issue we were experiencing (no guessing, no upselling) and clearly explained what was going on, in a way that made sense. After an alignment check, a dealership told us we needed a new axle. We took it to Ambrosia's and they were able to pinpoint the exact issue, costing us much less than originally quoted by the dealership. The repair was done quickly and efficiently. We have trusted Ryan and the team to work on our vehicles prior to this, and we have always walked away feeling confident in the work that was completed and not feeling taken advantage of like so many other places.
