I forgot my phone in a rental vehicle I dropped off Sunday night. I tried calling the location as soon as it opened Monday morning. There was no answer for hours. I called the 800 number, chatted online with several people, and was told they'd escalate my case to the GM. My son, who also rented from them that weekend was dropping off his rental close to noon, was going to pick up the phone, as I assumed it would be there. That was the first time of them hearing about the loss. I finally got ahold of someone hours later and told the car had been cleaned and rented to someone else. "Cleaned, where's my phone? The cleaner must have it then!" She said the cleaner would've saw it, if it was there. I said I know it was in there I talked to my son on the way there. My theory is, either the cleaner took it, there was no cleaner, because the car wasn't dirty, or Larry the honest corporate guy, doesn't want to be bothered, has the phone, or did away with it. I bought another phone and had everything including my old number transferred. The first voicemails I retrieved was enterprise calling the lost phone and leaving messages! 🤬 I am annoyed and appalled! As a plus member renting from them for years, I will never ever rent from them again for the rest of my life! For anyone that does, make sure you double check your belongings before turning in the keys and locking the car, because you probably won't get them back! I'm currently filing a dispute.
