- RFReggie FlowersJul 3, 20251.0Used a loaner tool to pull the center driveshaft bearing on my truck after reading a few good reviews had to put a $212.00 deposit until I returned the tool this was 7/1/25 turns out I couldn't even use the tool I ended up using my angle grinder to cut the bearing off so the next day I returned the tool expecting to get my money back and they didn't have the $204.00 I was supposed to get back from my deposit waited until the next day and was told I'd have to wait for them to get money in the register before I could get my deposit back I'm sitting here on 7/3/25 a day before the fourth and was offerd a gift card that I could only spend there... confused, disappointed, and hoping it doesn't ruin my holiday plans

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
