- KBKristian BrownDec 29, 20251.0My family and I went there to buy one thing of stop leak and it was 7:55pm. On their signs it says they close at 9pm but when my grandfather walked in some young kid with brown hair and a goatee kicked him out saying they were closed. This is very uncharacteristic of the service we’ve had there as when we need to fix a car we always go here. We were in desperate need to stop a leak and they didn’t help out at all. Needless to say we will definitely be reconsidering going back as why should we spend money somewhere that won’t help is AT ALL. The doors weren’t locked the lights were all on it was very strange. We personally think the kid just didn’t want to do any work at all. Shame on you guys do better.

- KKKurtMay 1, 20181.0I bought $200 worth of transmission oil for a rebuild and found 5 of the quarts to be used. So after it was started and clean up began I see sludge in bottom of bottles, I went in to tell them what had happened all I got from Greg the manager was the seal is broken you can’t return them. Greg tells me I should have inspected them before opening, really it’s my job to inspect a product I bought from Advanced Auto to make sure they were new. Needless to say I will never buy from Advanced Auto again, so if you buy anything from them make sure it’s sealed and not used.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
