Receipt reads csr#14 no name. This was some of the best service I have ever experienced. Needed a new battery. Went through the choices, rung up, installed in minutes. Felt bad for having him install in 5 degrees so really appreciated the effort.

We've been hearing a lot about how kids today aren't taught critical thinking, but today I was exposed to how that affects them when they grow up and move into the workplace. I came in this morning to purchase a pair of rear rotors and pads for my wife's car. The only applicable rotors in stock at that store were the most expensive Duralast brand for ~$90 each. But the counter guy told me the pads would be free if I bought Duralast pads (which is just a way to say that the rotor price is inflated so they don't lose money when they give away the pads, but whatever). I bought them and headed home. As soon as I opened the pads, I saw that they were the wrong ones. Figuring he accidentally gave me the front pads, I drove back and explained the problem. He spent quite a bit of time mousing around the computer, continually coming back to the same (wrong) pads. I actually brought an old pad for comparison and it was obviously not the same. After 8-9 attempts, he said he saw the problem, and explained that the computer kept "routing him to the front pads" but he'd found the right ones. He grabbed the correct pads from the back, set them on the counter and said, "That'll be $55." I told him that he'd literally told me the pads were free 20 minutes ago. He looked confused and said, "Yeah, but...that was a special deal." I agreed...the deal was that if I purchased Duralast pads with the Duralast rotors, the pads were free, right? Yes. Well, the correct pads were ALSO Duralast pads. But he insisted I had to give him $55. I asked him why I had to give him an ADDITIONAL $55 on top of the ~$200 I'd already given him for rotors and incorrect pads. He'd obviously made a mistake, he'd wasted my time, and all he had to do was give me THESE pads and we'd be done. He looked very confused and kept saying that the free pads were a special deal and without me buying rotors AGAIN, the computer couldn't give me these pads for free. We discussed this for a few more minutes, with his five brain cells getting more and more confused, and finally he started clicking around the screen again. At the end, he said, "Okay, I discounted the pads down to $33, that's the best I can do." I paid the $33, largely because arguing with an idiot just brings you both down to the idiot's level and I was tired of dealing with him. I had other stuff to do today and needed to get this job done. But as I drove home, I realized that he simply didn't possess the ability to recognize the big picture. The computer wasn't set up to handle this kind of situation, and his brain was incapable of a.) recognizing that, and b.) synthesizing a workable solution. This is what happens when kids aren't taught critical thinking in school. And if you go to the AutoZone on Lorain in North Olmsted and get Zac...you're going to experience that yourself, too.

100% the best Autozone around. The crew during the day especially are top notch and I will go out of my way , as well as send my family out of their way to come specifically to this location (we live in North Ridgeville off of Stoney ridge I am in the middle of 3/4 locations and I still choose this one). I used to be a customer at the NR store where Justina used to be, I was bummed to find out she had left that store until I stumbled into the NO location and saw her. Anywhere Justina is at, you can count on her as well as her team to give you the best service! Don’t let one bad review from one person deter you away from this store. They are fantastic and I couldn’t be more thankful for them. I was in on 12/23 and both justina and her coworker were assisting a lady with a headlight problem (I believe the young gentleman who originally was helping her couldn’t fit his hand in the space and asked justyna to help don’t quote me on that though). The customer was overwhelmed and clearly had a rough beginning of her day but both the manager and coworker helping showed her the most compassion and professionalism of their job and ultimately sent her on her way with a working headlight, she cried and asked if she could give them a hug. It seems so small of a problem but you could tell the customer was really just struggling that day and maybe their kindness brought light into her situation. Now that is who I want taking care of my friends and family. I was more than happy to wait a couple minutes for their services. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let the right people see this. They deserve every good review.
