    The car smelled like dog, the seats were covered in dog hair and dander. The car smelled like cigarettes plus their were ashes on the driver's side flooring. No floor matts. So I left my spare set in the car. I prefer to have clean pants. I know my insurance company only allowed so much, but I'm not rich but that shouldn't matter. The car was a mess. Plus it smells like it's burning oil. I may be 62 on oct 8, but I'm not ignorant. Been around cars all of my life, including Nascar cup cars (Winston cup) my father owned 6 towing companies and towed for not only The San Diego police growing up, but also the Newark police dept as a teen. We also used to own Coshocton speedway. I was the girl who always knew what was wrong with the cars before they would break. As a wife, my then husband (may be rest in peace) and I owned and operated a 9 trucking company (non-perishable, dry van) business. We also had a smell auto sales business until my husband's passing. The cars we've towed or repossessed were near as bad as that rental car. So sad really. But. But from now on, I'll call hertz . Paula
