- WWWayne WoodardApr 5, 20261.0This place sucks. I took my auto scan in because it would not hook up to vehicles ( right out of the box). I said I wanted my money back or a new one that works properly. With the receipt that said one year replacement in my hand. Even though it had a one-year replacement warranty the lady would not honor it. 140 dollars out the window. I threw it on a table and told them they could have it. 2 of the employees started laughing. We will see how funny it it is. New Philadelphia small everybody knows everybody. Never ever will I buy anything from any advance Auto parts. Plus I will talk crap on this place continuously.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
