I've been a loyal customer of Advance Auto Parts for years and have spent thousands of dollars here, but after my experience yesterday I will not be returning. I came in to return a core and was told a manager was needed to enter a code. I ended up waiting 25 minutes in the lobby while the older gentleman helping us repeatedly tried to get the manager’s attention — and was completely ignored. When the manager finally did come out from the back, he chose to help a customer who had just walked in, even though I had already been waiting nearly half an hour. When he finally approached us, he was incredibly rude to his fellow employee, blaming him in front of us for the delay — even though the older man had been doing everything he could. My wife stepped in to defend him, and the manager’s response was, and I quote: “This does not involve you. I can speak to my employee however I want.” I nearly lost it at that point. After he walked away again, I approached him in the store and tried to calmly talk to him. He first said he was “too busy,” and when I explained the situation and how disrespectful he was — especially toward my wife — he dismissed me again, telling me to file a complaint if I wanted. When I asked for his name, he ignored me and walked away until I got louder. He finally said his name was Sebastian. This is the most disrespected I’ve ever felt in a place of business. The only person who acted professionally was the older employee who assisted us — he deserves better. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere from now on, and I strongly urge others to consider doing the same.
