- JCJohn CampolongoMar 1, 20261.0Time line: Sept. 2025, inner and outer tie rods installed at Monroe location. Jan. 2026 noticed a grinding noise when wheel fully locked to the right. Feb. 20th, mechanic at Toyota noticed left tie rod rubbing against wheel plus no dust boot clamps applied from Sept. service at Tire Discounters. Feb. 24th, had left tie rod replaced at Tire Discounters and told manager about missing dust boot clamps. Picked up truck that night, asked manager if dust boot clamps were installed, looked at me puzzled, gave me my key and said I was all set. Feb. 28, crawled undermy truck, no inside clamps on dust boots! Made online appt. for Feb. 27th. Finally, after 3 visits the correct tie rod and dust boot clamps were installed. Side note: I talked to the regional office, who said the regional Mgr. would get back to me in 24 hours. That was on Wednesday the 25th. Still waiting on that call back, despite leaving a message for them on the 26th and 27th. By the way, I have purchased tires from them numerous times.
