- CSChristopher SmithFeb 12, 20261.0Horribly bad service. Do not buy a die hard battery from any advanced auto parts. I’ve been through 2 within 2 years and they have both went bad within a year and even though they switched out the first one because it was still under warranty now they tell me that the warranty on batteries is non transferable which makes no sense as to why they switched out the 1st battery. The lady manager told me she would call me back yesterday and of course never did and to be honest I have a battery I purchased from rural king that’s out lasted both die hard batteries.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
