Harrison Ohio location: Had a screw in my tread of my tire. (Not on the sidewall). They told me that I would have to buy a new tire $298.99 and a new air tire sensor $89.99. $415.09 with tax. I had them put the old tire back on because it was only losing 3-4 pounds of air a day until I could find someone to patch this from the inside like it’s supposed to be done. The reason for 2 stars is that they did not charge me. I do appreciate that. I got home and went online and found the same tire and speed rating for $149.00 and the sensor (which was still working) for $15.00. 315 MHZ whatever that means? I ordered both and they arrived at my home and I had a friend help me change out the tire. We cleaned the sealing surface and put in the new air sensor and tire has been holding 33.0 pounds of air for 5 days now. This friend has an expensive computer and they programmed some numbers and digits in the car and this tire air light went out. Save exactly $251.00. Worked on it for about an hour. This screw hole could have been patched. I watched videos and they show using a drill bit to open the hole for the inner mushroom looking patch. This shop just did not want to fix it for me and tried to upsell me what I did not need. Poor business ethics. Chip Wood - please teach your management how to treat your clients.

We were traveling, had a shaky tire, went to Tire Discounters on a Saturday afternoon, they were very helpful, got us in quickly, balanced our tire in no time and had us going again. Very good people to work with. Lucky to have found them, thank you very much.

Wouldn’t recommend if you’re trying to get an alignment, they have an excuse for everything. When we were there the first time for tires the reason was due to loose wheel bearings which we got fixed. Went this time, which my dad is a mechanic of 30 years! Did the wheel bearings and the boot dry rotted off and it’s a non grease-able joint, because of this small reason they tried saying there was play in my ball joint so they couldn’t do the alignment and tried lying to us when we got there that he mentioned it the last time (which he didn’t!) Went home and tested the ball joint ourselves, absolutely NO play! Don’t recommend.

Frequently Asked Questions About Tire Discounters

How do I know if I need an alignment?

The #1 cause of uneven or rapid tire wear is misalignment. Your vehicle also may pull to one side or feel "loose" when steering, and you might even observe a drop in fuel economy. Alignment is critical to tire life and vehicle safety. In fact, if you install new tires on a misaligned vehicle, some manufacturers won't even honor your tire warranty. Everyday driving, potholes, hard turns, and sudden stops, gradually knock your wheels out of alignment. This wear is natural, but it can quickly chew through your tires. That's why Tire Discounters includes a FREE alignment ($129.99 value) when you purchase 4 tires installed. It's just another way we help you get more life (and more value) out of your tires.

How do I get a free alignment?

At Tire Discounters, when you purchase any 4 tires with installation, you get a FREE alignment. A 4 wheel alignment is valued at $129.99, and comes with a 12 month warranty.
