  I called ALL the AutoZone stores in a 10 mile radius, and they all said their alternator bench tester was not working. That's both of the Hamilton, and the Trenton store. Maybe being a Sunday they don't have anyone who knows how to do it, and that's one thing. But just say that if that's the issue. This is unacceptable. I purchased the $300 alternator from O'Reilly, even tho it was a little more expensive, because they could test it there before i install it. Not doing a 3 hour job with the possibility of getting a bad alternator. And yeah I'm aware companies say they're tested before leaving the factory. In actuality we all know there's a possibility of getting a defect. I'd like to mitigate that possibility as much as possible for a 3 hour job.
