- JLJanae LawsonNov 21, 20251.0Went and got a battery, terminals and terminal protectors earlier today. Came back with core, terminals, and the protectors because I didn’t need. When I came back they couldn’t find me in the system because the previous employee didn’t even use the right name. He also didn’t even give me the right terminals either, so now I’m thinking he didn’t even give me the right battery. On top of that the rude employee this evening was very stern on me buying my battery from another location because he couldn’t find me in his system. I kept telling this man, no I bought everything all at once. He kept treating me and my boyfriend like we didn’t even know what we were talking about. He also couldn’t do the whole transaction at one register, like why is that? We came at one time and bought these items all together. As for the terminals and the covers, he gave me cash back for the terminals, and then resold it to himself, then refunded everything together back on my debit card. When asking for cash he said he couldn’t, but you just refunded me for the terminals? We also got jipped out of money because the receipts of what everything costs plus the core charge didn’t add up with what we got back in refund. This man was very pushy and it seemed like he just wanted to rush us out of there, for no reason. I’ll stick with O Riley’s or Autozone from now on.

Sure enough, it would have caused major damage to our truck, but thanks to his attention to detail, we were able to flush it out before it caused a problem. We are very thankful.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
