- RBRonnie Bolen3 days ago1.0Always looking online to see what parts they have in stock. But when you get there they never have them. It makes it very frustrating to do business with advanced Auto. They really need to address this issue because I'm done with them. And I think there losing a lot of business this way. They always have a other part but twice as much money as the ones on line. They always tell him you should have called first when it shows in stock online. I don't know about you but I don't have time to wait for a phone call or to call them and put on hold when I'm supposed to be able to look online and it's supposed to be correct.

- TUToby UDec 29, 20165.0Never had any problems with the couple of times I was in the area and went here. BTW...auto parts stores and banks don't have public restrooms. Let me make it easy. If a place doesn't have a sign on the wall that says "Restrooms" then they have no obligation to let you use one. Saw a lady at bank freak out about it. What bank has a public restroom? That's not a customer service they nor parts stores provide.

Does Advance Auto test and install batteries?
Yes we do offer free battery installation on most products with purchase. We will also recycle and test your battery for free regardless if you bought it from us. Battery testing and installation is available at most of our locations.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
