Battery was overpriced and employee pulled one that was well over a year old. Now that it has gone bad already I found out that this only a 90 day warranty instead of the usual 1+ warranty. Edit: Did contact support and was told nothing they could do since beyond the warranty but issue me a $10 credit. The only reason I paid almost double for the battery vs other retailers was because the store was within walking distance of where I was at. I will not be shopping at Advance in the future and will encourage others to do the same.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
