- KSkim smith5 days ago5.0Hello ,I just wanted to give a shout out too the two lovely ladies that help me with the hood clips and the light for my 2017 Honda Accord.The manager lady put my turn signal bulb in for me so by the time I paid for it, came out to my car she was done. Thank you so much for all your knowledge and your quick acting that allowed me to be back on the road in less then 10 mins. I don't know there names but they definitely did the job. I will be back. Thanks again.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
