- NNNicholas NeeperNov 11, 20251.0SCAM. Don’t fall victim and please read before coming here!!! A little over a year ago I was getting rid of my 2018 fusion. The guy was super nice and explained everything really well. The customer service was good and all was going pretty smooth. Until he started getting the vehicle involved. When he was doing some checks on my car he put his OBD scanner in and all of the sudden a maintenance light pops on. He claims it is the powertrain. It could have been 4 different things but he automatically “diagnosed” it to be this so-called $600 fix. He ignored me all 3 times when I asked him to turn the car off and back on (he was doing a test drive). Finally we finish the test drive and head inside. (I turned the car off and back on to check and the light completely clears). Now we’re inside, at the computer, and talking to the “higher ups.” Not sure how to feel about this part but when he would send them a message, he would leave the room and comeback to a response. As if he was leaving the room to send a reply back to the computer I was looking at. After it all, I told him that I would think about it and got out of there. There was nothing to think about. It was a straight NO. If you do end up going anyway, just know what you have and if anything pops up when it never has it’s them trying to get you car as cheap as possible from you.
