What made the situation even worse was that there was no option to extend the time, even though flexibility should be standard in such a setting. To add insult to injury, I later received a letter from an attorney, Daniel B. Kelley, based in Centennial, CO, regarding the charge. This level of escalation over such a minor infraction is excessive and completely unnecessary. It felt more like an intimidation tactic than a genuine effort to resolve the issue fairly.
