    If Advance Auto Parts was the only auto store, I still wouldn’t shop there. My husband bought an engine coil Feb 2024 with their warranty along with spark plugs. Fast forward to Sept 2025, the car is misfiring and unsafe to drive. We had to take it to a mechanic as we could not figure out what was wrong as the car was idling, not getting up to speed and keeping the fan on after engine was off. It took an hour to diagnose and we ended up having to spend double the amount for a GM engine coil. We tried to return the coil bought at advanced auto parts back in 2024 this week, because we had all the receipts and part since it was a faulty part. We were declined and said we could not return despite buying the warranty due to their system being down. I then call customer service. The gentleman I was speaking with was anything but helpful. He was not understanding that advanced auto parts part made us spend so much extra money and not to mention could of cost us getting into an accident. Despite speaking to the customer service representatives manager as well, they basically only refunded us for the one coil we bought back in 2024 due to their policy. They had little to no remorse for the very expensive repairs we had to pay for in addition due to their part. They did tell us it would have been free at advanced auto. No one ever told us this and the car was not safe to drive to an advanced auto.

    Hey corporate- if the alternator tester isn’t working, and hasn’t for a while… why not post that on the window instead of “alternator testing” and save a now non repeating customer some time and your employees the hassle of having to tell people who waited in line that they can’t help them? Complete lack of class.

    Workers asked if I needed anything and then proceeded to have an inappropriate conversation with each other and being very homophobic, all with visibly lgbtq+ people shopping inside. I put all my stuff back and walked out. Don’t know what the community did to you, but very bad business. Don’t have anything kind to say, don’t say it at all. Don’t shop here if you have basic human decency.
