- HHHariFeb 17, 20261.0Terrible experience on my last stop in. Customer service has dropped tremendously, will be switching to auto zone.
- KDKent DusthimerJan 29, 20265.0In all of my 69 years I've never had better customer service than I did from *Logan* yesterday. I was getting jerked around with a "bait & switch" on a battery from the Morse Rd. Pep Boys after I'd drove all the way there from Pickerington. So I went next door to Advanced to get some prices to compare. *Logan* actually took the time to go on the Pep Boys website and showed me that their numbers on the battery I needed for my Jeep Grand Cherokee didn't add up. I went back over to Pep Boys to try and straighten things out but they keep trying to upsell me from a $168 battery that was ON SALE to one that wasn't and cost like $329. So I went back over to Advanced and asked *Logan* if he had my battery in stock, which he did. And he said he would install it for free. IT WAS 5 DEGRESS OUTSIDE and Advance didn't have a garage area to work out of like Pep Boys. I couldn't believe it! And then Logan found a coupon I could use to get over $50 off on their Die Hard battery which brought the price down to just over $200 installed. *Logan* went outside in the freezing cold and did the removal & install *PERFECTLY*. And it wasn't and easy install as my Jeep has the main battery I needed and a small auxiliary battery jammed in together in a compartment located under the passenger seat. Bottom line is *Logan* just kept saying, "I'll take care of you" and "I want this to work out for you." And he did, and it did! ADVANCED AUTO PARTS THIS EMPLOYEE *LOGAN* IS IRREPLACEABLE. GIVE THAT MAN A RAISE!!! ~Coach Kent

When I tell you the two gentlemen who helped me out went above and beyond and some they truly did. It had already been an overwhelming week with this car and the fact it was Friday evening and I thought I was just picking up a battery for them to put it in my car for me and I would be in and out pretty quickly and of course something else went wrong. I was super stressed out considering I had my son's trunk or treat which was out in Grove City during rush hour. Logan and Casey at this location both did everything they could to make sure I made it on time. I'm super grateful and appreciate the hard work. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
