- CBCharles Bradford1 day ago2.0After ordering parts online. Make sure you call before you go to pickup your parts. They text you order complete ready for pickup. But fail to tell you half your order is not in stock. A text saying this would be nice. Don't waste out time. I blame this on the manager at the Cleveland brookpark rd advanced auto parts. Manager needs to pay more attention to these orders.
- PSPierre910 S.Feb 19, 20261.0Walked in was gonna buy the 3 pipe wrenches they had, no one asked if I needed help and a guy that I held the door open for the lady asked him if he needed help, a went on to help him a guy walked in after me and the male worker asked hom if he needed help and went to help him... the staff never acknowledged i was even in the store, as I walked around with the 3 pipewrenches in my hands... the other 2 customers left and when I walked to the cashier stand, the staff were all gone, just disappeared... so I sat the 3 pipewrenches down and left the store

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
