  I went to the Oakley location because I was in the area instead of my usual area of town Valvoline. I was completely BLOWN AWAY with the Oakley location! The guys were here were absolutely THE BEST!!!

  I recently stopped by Valvoline for an oil change and walked away genuinely impressed. From the moment I pulled in, the team was friendly and efficient, but the standout was the manager, Tre. He took the time to explain the best oil options and filters for my specific car—breaking down the differences in viscosity and synthetic blends—without ever making it feel like a sales pitch. It was clear, informative, and actually helpful, which made the decision easy instead of overwhelming. The service was quick, the bay was clean, and everyone worked like they actually enjoyed being there. No upselling nonsense, just solid advice and great execution. Tre even pointed out a small air filter issue I hadn’t noticed, again without pressure—just good info. I’ll definitely be coming back. Valvoline earned a regular customer today.

  Service was excellent! Very friendly. They offered me water while I waited. I had an oil change, wiper blades replaced and tire rotation. I would highly recommend Valvoline to anyone. Fair pricing and very friendly effective service.

  I went on my lunch break to get my oil changed, figuring it would take the 15 minutes they tell you it should take. I also got my radiator flushed. The tech told me it would add 7 minutes. The techs did a good job and finished in a timely manner. However, when they took my payment, they could not process. Hence this was about 20 minutes in being at valvoline. My first card failed and I thought weird, I just used this card earlier in the day. These things happen, might be the bank, so I hand them my second card which I literally just used to get lunch. Neither of them work and show the exact same reason why they declined. I sat there for another 30 minutes… yes a total of 50 minutes so far. During that time, I felt that I was the one to blame for my cards not going through. Literally holding me hostage inside valvoline because they couldn’t get their card reader to work. Just wait that’s not all. They told me to pull to the side so they can get to their other customers. I then wait for another 20 minutes and no one is around to tell me what’s going on!! I have to go inside and ask one of the techs to get me an answer and they have my card still!! Finally someone comes over to me and tells me the card readers are down and that it wasn’t my cards that were at fault. After an hour and 10 minutes I get my first “we are sorry.” I know things happen. Then I get asked to come to the desk of one of the techs walking through the garage almost like a criminal with someone in front of me and someone behind me. I got to the tech and they did not speak a word to me(this is the tech that made me feel like garbage because their systems weren’t working.) He took my payment, then handed me my papers and still not a word. I said thank you trying to be nice, nothing back… not a sorry or anything. To be honest if they would of been sincere about the situation and just said sorry about the confusion I wouldn’t of wrote this. I didn’t want a discount or anything else but being held hostage at this place I figured a simple sorry would of been warranted.
