The staff were very polite, professional, and thorough in their assessment. Based on their customer service, I also opted for an engine air filter replacement and a tire rotation. However, about 15 minutes after leaving, my vehicle suddenly displayed an “Engine Power Reduced” warning along with a check engine light, and I completely lost the ability to accelerate. I had just gotten off the exit ramp and was on the main road towards home. I was stalled on an active lane to the right with cars coming up behind me and was nearly struck multiple times by vehicles coming off the exit. Had this happened just a few minutes earlier on the highway, it could have resulted in a potentially fatal accident. I immediately contacted Valvoline customer service and they opened a case. With the help of roadside assistance, I was eventually able to get the car home. After 30 minutes of sitting idle, I tried restarting the vehicle. The engine began shaking violently and shut off. This issue did not exist before yesterday's service. I will be towing my vehicle back to this location. I truly hope Valvoline will be honest, investigate what happened, and take responsibility if a mistake occurred. I would appreciate a clear explanation as to what caused the issue and a fair resolution to restore trust in their service.
