- BWBrandon WilsonJan 13, 20261.0I went in to take my optimal redtop battery that's only two years old and never been dropped in its life and it started my car perfectly fine a month before I took it in to autozone before I stored my car for winter, battery tested good just low voltage, come to find out and hour later I get a call saying that my battery has build due to a short, which like I said tested fine. when I show to pick up my car the guy insisted it was my battery and I believe it was charged wrongly or over charged and the guy wouldn't even look me in my eyes and proceeded to tell me he wouldn't test it afterwards and straight told me that I can put it in my own car to see if it gets hot or if it explodes in my own car?!?! I was having issues with autozone and was going to be a regular here but apparently im out 350$ for a optimal battery and will tell everyone i know to avoid this place due to employee negligence not my first bad experience here either

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
