- SFSarah FerraroJul 18, 20252.0I had to install the intoxalock system to my vehicle. The day I went in to get it installed, they informed me they had no waiting lounge, but I could stay since I didn’t have anyone to pick me up. The male receptionist made an intense political statement that made me very uncomfortable so I decide to walk the dangerous road to Tim Hortons and call my bf to pick me up. Once it was installed I came back and the receptionist showed me how to use it. He said “blow until it stops beeping,” so when I left on my own that’s what I did. Well, it was only three beeps and when you blow longer, it considered it invalid and makes you try again. Once I was driving it ansked me to blow again which is normal but I kept blowing too long. Eventually I started to understand but not after getting a violation. Luck I’ll y intoxalock waved the $80 fee but they told I me it needed to be recalibrated. Even though it was the receptionists fault for not properly in forming me he still charged me $50+ to recalibrate it. Finally I realized that I could change service shops so I did. And the new show says it only $25 to recalibrate and now I’m wondering if I was scammed out of extra money! I’m also wondering if the installation would have been cheaper. If you opted into getting a breathalyzer after your 1st offense OVI -AVOID THIS SHOP LIKE THE PLAGUE it will cost you so much more money.
