  My experience here was terrible. I walked in without an appoitment and was told there was an hour wait. After almost two hours I decided to make an appointment for the next day, to which I was told I was the fist appoitment and would be taken right away. After almost two hours the manager who is extremely rude came out. Prior to this, he was extremely rude with how he asked me to move my car. The manger who I already had a base taste in my mouth about basically told me I couldn’t pass inspection because I needed two new tires and an allignment. All he was interested in was telling me I would have to pay $1400 for this. He was very rude, unapproachable, and very unprofessional. The young gentleman at the front desk was extremeot nice and super hopeful the entire time. It is very disappointing that people are considered managers with the way they treat customers. I left and will be taking my car elsewhere, as I feel all he wanted was money out of me.

  Been coming to this shop for years! Seen managers come and go, employees always changing but this crew they have now!!! Best crew and i hope it dont change for a LONG TIME. Very honest, they bring you to your car and show you whats going on good or bad. With these roads you have to get your car checked daily and these guys are the only ones touching my car. I always get my work done here and never had to come back. Thank you James arturo and walter! You guys are the best.

  I booked an appointment for 1:00 pm today (12/26/25). I showed up at 12:45, got checked in and sat down in the very full waiting room. My car didn’t get into the bay until 3:00! I had booked for an oil change and a tire rotation/balance. Once it got into the bay, about 15 minutes went by, then someone comes out to the waiting room and tells me to come look at my car. The lug nuts were extremely stripped and rounded, despite not appearing that way the last time I got my tires rotated (at the Mavis location in Tarrytown). They then proceeded to quote me $300 dollars (AFTER A $150 “DISCOUNT”), to replace 15/20 lug nuts on my car. When you order these lug nuts on ANY OTHER parts site, they are about $40 max. for a set of 20. How does that make any sense? Labor certainly wasn’t factored in with the price quote I was given. Finally, I asked them to just change the oil and not mess with the tires at all. Okay cool, was told it would be about 15 minutes and then I’d be all set. Cue 4:00pm and I am just getting rung up at the counter, where I am told it’s over $100 for an oil change now. To his credit, the front desk worker was very nice and gave me a $20 discount without me asking. I am normally not one to write a negative review about a service shop, but WOW. I have never experienced this. I totally would have been fine waiting, had they informed me that there were other appointments running behind, lots of run-over walk-ins that were taking longer than expected, whatever it may have been. However, there was no communication from Mavis staff, despite multiple people asking how much longer it was going to be. What is the point of making an appointment if it’s going to take an extra 2 hours to get the car into the bay and start work? TLDR: don’t go to Mavis tire in Yonkers, especially if you’re a woman because they will try to UPSELL you on lug nuts (of all things). The location in Tarrytown is much nicer and less busy typically.

  Walter and his team! Saving our Christmas as I type this. Heading out of state for the Christmas break with our 3 school aged kids , presents, food etc. We experienced a highway tire blowout just near their closing time. We pulled in just as they were closing and Walter took care of us right away. Within 2 minutes despite being nearly closed for the day, his crew began changing our tire and giving us peace of mind and making Christmas happen. They could have said no, let their team go home for the night —- but the goodness in their heart saved the day. Thank you! Grateful. Everyone give them their your business. You won’t be disappointed!
