  We flew to New York last minute for a funeral, so this wasn’t a trip we were looking forward to. From the moment we landed, the team at Alamo truly made the experience easier for us. Joe helped us when we arrived. There was a line, but he handled everything so well. He was incredibly informative, patient with all of our questions, and still kept things moving efficiently. His kindness and friendly attitude really stood out, especially during a difficult trip. When we picked up our car, we were pleasantly surprised. The vehicle was excellent—actually better than we expected for the rental. It was clean, new, and in great condition. The check-in process when returning the car was also incredibly quick, and Joe happened to be there again helping us. It was so nice to see the same friendly face. He truly goes above and beyond to make customers feel welcome. Matt, one of the desk managers, even called to check in and make sure everything went smoothly. He was also incredibly kind and friendly. The entire staff was amazing. The cars are high quality and well maintained, and the customer service was exceptional from start to finish. We’re very grateful for such a positive experience during a difficult trip. Thank you to Joe, Matt, and the whole team!

  Made reservation for a compact car—ended up with a big, red, garish Jeep because they claimed they didn’t have anything else. If they can’t provide what they promised—or even come close to to it—then they shouldn’t be in the business. The Jeep was ugly and cumbersome, I don’t see how anyone drives these things.

  The experience with this Alamo did NOT start off well. The car that was given to me was filthy on the inside. I came out of pocket to take it to the car wash. I had taken this trip because of a family event. Upon driving the car, the engine light came on and the acceleration stopped working while driving which was scary. I was told by Alamo at 3:30pm that I would have to go all the way back to the airport after waiting for a tow truck which was scheduled to arrive at 6pm when I had the family event at 5pm. I was NOT going to miss my family event and that was disrespectful of them to ask that. I went to the airport (they sent me an Uber) at 3:45pm to get a new vehicle and rushed back to shower and go to the family event. The car was still not picked up. I believe it was picked up closer to 7pm. While that was a disaster, very frustrating and a huge unprofessional inconvenience, when I returned the second rental back to the airport, I spoke with the manager of Alamo (Isaac) there and he sincerely apologized for everything that had happened. No one had informed him. He said to me that service is the utmost importance to him and he likes to lead his team by example. He was apologetic, professional and very helpful when it came to handling remediating the situation. So again, while it started terrible, it ended up being okay. I just hope this never happens again. Thank you Isaac.
