  I sent my daughter there for a tire check as it was not holding air. They told her she had a nail on the inside wall and it could not be repaired. Probably should get all new tires to match. I told her to leave and bring me the car. After further review the nail was in the middle of the tire and an easy repair. I’d suggest you stay away from this place!

  Brian and Pablo saved the day for this mom of four! They plugged a BRAND NEW TIRE(from another shop) and sent me on my way with no wait, total clarity on what should be done and such kindness and patience! Wonderful shop, wonderful people!!

  Not a fan of Mavis as a company, but I was in a bind and Dexter came to the rescue, so he deserves 5 stars. He stayed late after close to ensure my car was completed and was professional, knowledgeable, and explained everything very well to me. Thank you, Dexter!

  Dexter and his team are great!! They took care of me when I had an unexpected flat and I was able to get the car back the same day. The other shops in the area were backed up and I would have to leave the car overnight. I will definitely recommend this shop to my family and friends!!

  Was looking for tires with some better grip. Bought new tires via an online vendor and had them installed here a few months ago and included an alignment. Noticed my vehicle was not driving right compared to before the service was performed. I returned to this Mavis location a few weeks later to get it checked out. They gave me another alignment and sent me on my way. However, my vehicle was still handling very strangely, a considerable amount of wandering and pulling at all speeds. I eventually returned once I was able to and mentioned it to them. The guy at the front desk just told me that maybe the tires are defective and told me to bring it elsewhere in the area to be checked again, because smaller shops essentially might do a better job. Taking his advice, I immediately left and brought the vehicle to a different local and smaller mechanic shop. They quickly felt the issue and discovered that the alignment that was done to my vehicle at Mavis in West Haverstraw was NOT correct. Due to this, my brand new and expensive tires have already became very worn and feathered, especially on the outer edges and within only around 1-2k miles driven. Not to mention any other increased wear or damage to this vehicle, which is not even a year old. Now, I am left having to consider replacing all four tires yet again out of pocket, due to the negligence of Mavis of West Haverstraw. I plan on contacting the Mavis corporate office.
