Normally Enterprise has been good for me but this trip/reservation has been a disaster and it's not over yet.
Picked up my SUV, it was just returned, so they cleaned it up and have it to me.
About 2 hours later on the open road I hear a hard clanging noise from under the chaise. It gets worse the longer im driving. I make it to my destination with my 91 year old Mom. Taking her to see family while she still can, recent loss in our family.
I called the 800 number (local locations close half days on Saturday and all day Sunday) The gentleman takes all my information, could be a broken shock or loose muffler, not sure. He says to me to go to the Vestal NY location on Sunday morning at 10, they'll be expecting me and will swap out the vehicle. So I'll go 90 minutes away .
Sunday morning I get to the Enterprise location, at opening there is a line out the door but they have acres of vehicle.
I get to the counter , I explain the situation, the manager says wait to the side and she'll help me. I waited 25 minutes only for her to tell me she has no cars and can't help me. What about the information I received on the 800 number. She says " they really dont know their job to be honest". That's great and im screwed. I tried calling the 800 number they texted me, I was told they couldn't help me but they gave me another 800 number to call. Finally I get a tep on the phone, again I explain the situation she says im sorry but I can't help you, I can't authorize a vehicle swap,(keep in mind this is Customer Care). All she can do is file a report with the renting location (which is 400 miles away) .
Bottom line Enterprise has left me hanging, no local locations, no support, luckily im at my destination, . No assistance, just misinformation and a runaround. We'll see how long i can use the vehicle, obviously something is wrong, hopefully i can make it safely.

Now 4 days later, multiple reports taken, multiple promises made and Nothing has been done. No call back no emails. Today the brake sensor came on and stayed on. Will try another location for a swap out in the morning.
UPDATE OCTOBER 16: Went to another location in NFalls NY, the guy said he couldn't swap it out he didn't have Subs, only mid-cars. So no deal. My mom needs the leg space to prevent blood clots that's why I booked an SUV.
I left, about a half hour later I start the car and a couple of sensors came on "Flat Tire" so on top of everything else now a tire is going. Went back to that location spoke to manager, gave him whole story. He suggested I take it to local Mavis and let them check it at Enterprise expense. Went to Mavis(Kyle , Josh, the whole were great) Tire needed to be replaced, sidewall iss ue near valve from what they showed me. Luckily I did6have a blowout on road. Back at hotel with same vehicle, new tire, same clanging noise under chaise.
AND still NOBODY from corporate or anyone else has reached out to me. Many reports taken, nothing done to compensate me or even explain how this can happen. Stay Tuned....
FINAL UPDATE: I returned the vehicle on October 20 to the original location, I told the manager everything that happened and she red all the reports on hand. Thankfully she stepped up and did the right thing and compensated me for the bad experience. While im totally disgusted with everything that happened and my experience, I am very much appreciated for her assistance.
