Was told to rush over for a tire patch and plug. When I arrived I was told they wouldn’t perform the repair since I had a plug in the tire that didn’t quite seal and wanted a professional fix. Don’t waste your time with this shop they leave out crucial info that would have saved me a drive and time.

I had a really great experience working with Stacy at Mavis in Troy, NY and wanted to make sure it didn’t go unnoticed. From the moment I walked in, Stacy was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. Buying tires can feel overwhelming, but she made the whole process straightforward and stress-free. She took the time to explain my options clearly, didn’t try to upsell me on anything unnecessary, and helped me find the best tires for my needs and budget. What stood out most was her customer service. She was patient, attentive, and made sure I understood exactly what I was getting. You can tell she actually cares about doing right by the customer, which is rare these days. The installation was smooth, the timing was accurate, and everything was handled exactly as promised. No surprises, no pressure—just solid, honest service. If you’re in the Troy area and need tires, I highly recommend asking for Stacy. She made what could have been a stressful purchase into a really positive experience. Thank you again, Stacy!

Stacy and the crew took care of me. Had calipers that were not operating correctly which led to a horrendous grinding sound. I also was dealing with vibrating steering wheel and a rhythmic sound for quite sometime. Front wheel bearings needed replacing. Great price for all the work done, and my car is running smoothly!!

Ladies and students beware. Unfortunately, I am unable to give zero stars. I went to this location on March 7th and was taken for a ride and not in a good way. I stopped in to get an inspection and was informed they no longer do them. I asked if they were able to do a check to see if any repairs were needed that would prevent me from passing. I anticipated needing tires however the other “necessities” not so much. I was told i needed bushings and new control arms in the front and the back. Without the control arms (i was told the back set were so bad that if they tightened them they would snap) they couldn’t do the alignment. I was quoted around $2200 all in. After waiting an extremely long time they called to tell me that they ordered the wrong rear arms and would call when they could be ordered. I paid around 1500 at that time. When they called they quoted me an additional $1300–if you do the math that is not 2200. I took my car to get a second opinion and was told that my rear control arms (the ones that may snap) were completely fine and they aligned my car without issue. I went to get my car inspected at another shop (another story) and failed inspection. Surprise—the control arms were not on the list of alleged failures. The items listed weren’t even things brought to my attention. The shop that did my alignment was also able to pass me for inspection with zero issue. I called Mavis for multiple days requesting to speak to the regional manager, Wayne who didn’t get back to me until i called corporate a 4th time and the patched me in. Wayne was not helpful when it came to hearing my frustration or being heard. Since this i have gone to two local shops to confirm my car is in good working condition. One even replaced an actual faulty part that was put in by Mavis. Sadly this is the second time in a year Mavis saw fit to overcharge me. The last time was when they had a manger named Jamie or Jesse. They have had at least 4 managers in the time since that time. I used to be a loyal customer and felt they could be trusted but in the last year and a half it has been a nightmare. Being so close to colleges they should be ashamed of taking advantage of folks in the area in addition to having questionable safety checks.

I called the troy store to make an appointment to have 4 tires and a wheel alignment done on my 2010 370z . I was told the tires were located at the Latham store so I made an appointment at 10:45 for the Latham store When I arrived at the Latham store I was told the were short handed and overbooked and to come back at 3pm. This man was rude and it put a sour taste in my mouth.I HAD weekend plans to travel to Boston for a family funeral this is why I made an appointment. I left the Latham store extremely upset. Since I live in Troy I stopped by the troy store to basically vent but from the second I walked in the store the manager (stacy) was extremely nice and helpful she told me she would personally go pick up my tires and have them within an hour. This manager took a bad situation and turned it totally around. This is a valuable employee who sincerely cares about her customers and in today's market thats hard to find.. I was able to make my trip to Boston because of Stacey and her crew. I was only going to give 1 star because it wouldn't let me give one start to post this but since Stacey stepped up and took care of this is issue I changed it to 5 stars.
