- MGMike Gaffey3 days ago5.0This is, by very far, the best auto parts store in which I have ever shopped. All too often, the staff at an auto parts store will be dismissive and unwelcoming. I have the exact opposite experience every single time I visit this location. Every staff member I have dealt with is cordial, polite, and friendly. There are auto parts stores closer to my house, but the crew here makes the extra few miles more then worth it.

- KBkristjan bryceJan 17, 20261.0I don’t usually write reviews unless I have an extraordinary experience. In this case, it was extraordinarily bad. I bought a can of spray paint here and when I got home to use it, the nozzle didn’t work properly and the paint came out extremely glossy. I’ve used this particular paint many, many times in the past, so I know it’s supposed to be matte. I brought it in to swap it out with another one. The guy I spoke with at the counter was helpful, but the manager told me it worked fine and was almost empty. Even though I had literally bought it the night before and had used it for less than ten seconds. I wasn’t given a receipt when I bought it, so the guy said he wasn’t going to do anything It’s partially on me for not asking for a receipt after he didn’t give me one, but this was clearly a defective product and the manager made it seem like I was trying to get something for free.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
