- ZMZeki MürenJun 5, 20251.0I was informed by another Advance Auto Parts branch that a crucial part I needed was available at this location and that it closed at 7:00 PM. Understanding the urgency, I rushed to the store, arriving at the door at 6:58 PM. To my dismay, the store was already locked. After knocking, an individual named Kristen (I do not know her last name) came to the door. She brusquely informed us that she had already closed the counter and that we were "late." When I pointed out that it was not yet 7:00 PM and that she had closed early, her response was utterly unprofessional. She yelled at my friend and me, stating that she was the manager, that it was "her place," and that she could close "whenever she wants." When I informed her of my intention to report this to HR, she slammed the door in our faces. This level of disrespect and disregard for stated business hours is unacceptable. It is baffling that an Advance Auto Parts manager would treat customers with such contempt and knowingly close early, especially when customers are relying on accurate closing times for urgent needs. I was forced to take my business to a competitor, who, I might add, was very helpful and accommodating.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
