I’ve had bad luck with Mavis in the past, most recently in the fall. I had an appt to get tires and instead of calling me they called my father (?) and my car pickup was delayed by hours. Not terrible but annoying. Today I had accidentally scheduled an inspection with them, as I try to avoid them based on my experiences in the past, but figured I’d give them one more shot. I was told days before the appt to call if any changes needed to be made for the inspection. I get to the shop and I’m told their machine is down. So unless it went down in that exact moment, they chose not to call or text me to give notice that they could no longer inspect my car. That’s my final strike for Mavis, I warn anyone I can to avoid them at all costs.

I learned my lesson about Mavis Tires. We had 4 new tires put on the explorer in February. We had 1 replaced in August when we got a flat. Today I went back to discuss the status of these tires. All 4 are shot. They have 21000 miles on them, but come on. I had purchased the extra warranty and they carry a 40000 manufacturer warranty that Mavis doesn't care about. Was told because I declined an alignment 3 times this year its my fault. I was there 3 times. Once for the tires (Feb). Didn't get the alignment since it didn't need it. The other 2 times were for the tire that went flat to be replaced.....they just swapped the flat tire off the rim and change it. And once for an exhaust leak that they couldn't (or wouldn't) even fix. Why would they ask (they DIDN'T) if i needed an alignment when they looked at my exhaust??? Its so they can check a box in order to deny coverage on a crappy set of tires that I paid $140 a piece for ( so I didn't really cheap out....) Never again will I spend a dime there!!!!! We went because it was convenient to work at the time and we needed the tires quickly...... Never again.....

This particular shop in Rome has a red haired individual who works for them that is absurdly rude and unhelpful. The call center employees who tried to order my tires and subsequently set up an appointment for me with Mavis were great, but the shop itself can't seem to do anything right. First, they were supposed to order my snow tires and then call me on Saturday the 6th when they came in to let me know when to bring in my car, I spoke with the same rude employee who was having trouble figuring out his computer and cussing away while I waited for him to get it to work. They never did call me on that Saturday. Then, when I called again, the call center saw my appointment, said that the tires were there but I never went to my appointment. When I told them that the shop had said they'd call me to tell me when to come in the rep said they could just reschedule the appointment and transferred me to the same rude individual with red hair that I seem to get every time I call this place. This time, not only did he not have any of the original information from my original appointment, he didn't even know if they tires were ordered. He set me up an appointment under the wrong vehicle and had me come in today 12/13/25 to waste my time and tell me that the snow tires weren't in stock and weren't ordered. I don't know exactly how this place is getting good reviews because between the employee's attitude problem and the shop's inability to even get tires ordered, I'm not going to be dealing with this place ever again. And to the red haired employee, you need to get that attitude problem figured out, nobody has time or patience to deal with someone in the business of selling tires being condescending, rude, and uncouth. Your customer services was appalling and you should be embarrassed.
