Roman must think Customer Support is like when he used to sell nicks and call them dubs. He was SO Sheisty. He first quoted me $300+ and then when I said thanks, but no thanks, he said oh go a little further and pay $180(2 miles further) and when I arrived it was $205. He was extremely rude and when I asked about cancelling he became weird and said I couldn’t and I wouldn’t find anything else better, he’s right! I was charged MORE!!!!

Frequently Asked Questions About Intoxalock Ignition Interlock

How does an interlock device work?

An ignition interlock device (IID) is a small breathalyzer installed in your vehicle to prevent it from starting if alcohol is detected on your breath. Before driving, you'll blow into the device. If your breath alcohol concentration (BrAC) is below the programmed limit, the car starts. Periodic retests occur during your trip to ensure continued compliance. What is the cost of an ignition interlock device?

The installation of an ignition interlock device, often called a car breathalyzer, typically costs between $70 and $150. This one-time fee is paid at the start of your lease and covers the service center's labor to install the device in your vehicle. Payment is made directly to the service center at the time of installation. For more on cost breakdowns, you can read our cost of ignition interlock device guide.
