- PPPete5 days ago1.0I have been a loyal Valvoline customer for over 5 years I brought in the same car every time for an oil change. My go-to location was latta Road I stopped going there and went to the new one on ridge Road West which seemed to be a big mistake. My last oil change in October 2025 They put in double the oil I was sitting on almost 8 quarts in a 4.4 quarts vehicle. Luckily my engine didn't seize. I recently went for a oil change on the 14th of January 2026, and they "mechanic" named Jacob slammed my hood without taking out the stand. He broke the clip off and tried saying it was fine and wasn't broken. They said they will replace it which they just did but the attitude and no accountability is what got me. They also did a battery read and told me my battery was good, I drove out of town about an hour away yesterday and my battery died so my car wouldn't start. It just seems like there's too many amateur workers that are not trained right. I try to let the manager know how I felt and how dire these situations were and he basically shrugged it off like it happens, blaming everything except the problem at hand. The only reason why I switch locations was because the last time I went to latta Road they checked my air filter and never closed the box where it sits in. I will never go to Valvoline ever again for any kind of mechanical work same goes with my family and my friends. I know most likely they won't care but I just want to let everyone know be careful when you go to Valvoline Make sure you double check your oil levels make sure you double check everything they touch.

He hooked me up with a phone charger, found me a major savings coupon and was just extraordinarily eempathetic.He also showed me how bad my cabin air filter was and provided me with a discount on that, too!!!!
