  I felt the two techs accommodated my needs. Something simple, turned into extra work for them. They stayed late to resolve the issue and did a good job. This went from a brake fluid change to lug bolt replacement

  During a business trip I had an unexpected problem with my car. Monro was the first garage I saw, and I got lucky. Five stars for great service and honesty; I would recommend this garage to everyone.

  I am only giving 3 stars. Granted I got my two front tires put on which was not part of my appointment and they took me in early. The part that really upsets me is I had an appointment for an alignment. I got reminder texts leading up to appointment. But when I got there I found out there is no alignment guy till tomorrow. Why all the texts to remind me of appointment but the shop can’t call and tell me that there is no one to do my alignmentment. Yes they apologized but a phone call to let me know would have been nice. I took the day off of work and scheduled things around appointment. Not even a hey our bad let’s make it right and give you a discount.

  I’m honestly so disappointed with the Monroe Muffler in East Greenbush. My boyfriend went in for an oil change yesterday and they took 5 hours to get it done. Today I dropped my car off at 9am for an oil change and when I called at 11:30am to see if my car was done they said it was sitting on the lift and they needed to get a replacement safe seal plug because it broke. They didn’t bother to call me about needing to get the replacement piece and that it was going to take a little longer. They said it would take about an hour so I called back and they said they were still waiting on the piece. I let another hour go by and at that point I was so fed up with how long the process was I went in and they said they got the wrong piece and they needed to go get the right one. I had somewhere I need to be and by the time I was done they would be closed so I paid and they said they will leave my keys in my car for me to pick up after they close. I get home and realize they didn’t charge me for the piece they need to get which would be $15 but they did charge me for a resurface drum that was $65 and I didn’t ask them to do anything other than change my oil. All they gave me was excuse after excuse and it wasn’t honestly unacceptable. They never once called me through this whole process. I had to keep asking for updates.
