- TTTim5 days ago1.0I've used Jiffy Lube for years. Starting this first time the staffperson asked me if I wanted to replace the air filter. Fair enough. During that conversation he did not disclose there is a $9.99 "oil change fee" for rags gloves and supplies. Why would anyone think there is a an additional oil change fee in addition to the $109.99 oil change charge. Disclose it! He did not disclose there is a $15.00 extra fee for an extra quart of oil. The normal oil change is 5 quarts. My vehicle had 6 quarts. Disclose it! Instead of $109.99 it ended up $142.98. How does the consumer know? I checked the website. The Jiffy Lube website is extremely vague for the iphone version of the website. You have to click several times to get past the meaningless advertising verbiage. Never on the site did I locate anything about a "Supply Fee" (Oil charge fee), never did I see anything on the website that the oil change is for only 5 quarts. After the services were received, the website did allow me to do an estimate. I was required to DISCLOSE my license plate number. Why would I have to DISCLOSE a license plate number to get a price on an oil change? When the estimate did come it said "Starting at $122.98" with no explanation as to the details of the "estimate." Shop around, these places are always put out with questions, ask questions anyway!
